Choose the right way of moving
Hiking, running, cycling or e-scooter: which type to choose and which top speed applies.
The app is in German for now, so button names are quoted in German with the English meaning in brackets.
Choose how you are really getting around
Before every tour you choose the type at the bottom of the map. Each has a top speed:
- Hiking (“Wandern”): 10 km/h
- Running (“Laufen”): 25 km/h
- Cycling (“Fahrrad”): 45 km/h
- E-scooter: 45 km/h
If you are clearly faster over longer stretches, the tour doesn’t count. More in Tour not counted or 0 points.
Does the type change the points?
No. Points only depend on the newly explored sections.
What else the type is used for
- Statistics: under tours you see your kilometres split by type.
- Loops and planning: routes are calculated for the type. For the e-scooter, for example, via cycle paths and roads, without pavements, steps and pedestrian zones.
