Tour not counted or 0 points
The most common reasons why a tour earns no points, and what you can do.
The app is in German for now, so button names are quoted in German with the English meaning in brackets.
0 points, but the tour was counted
You only get points for sections that are new to you. Common reasons:
- You were on streets you had already explored.
- The tour was very short or you only crossed junctions. Section ends don’t count.
- You were in an area without street data. Which countries are included is in Where does CLAYM work?.
- Paths that aren’t in the map data as a street or path don’t count, for example straight across a car park.
The tour itself is still saved.
“Too fast” (“zu schnell”)
Each way of moving has a top speed: hiking 10 km/h, running 25 km/h, cycling and e-scooter 45 km/h. If more than a quarter of the distance was clearly faster, the tour doesn’t count. That way trips by car, bus or train don’t count.
Short GPS glitches are filtered out. If you chose the wrong type, for example hiking instead of cycling, choose the right one next time.
“No usable GPS signal recorded”
The app received too few or too inaccurate location fixes (less accurate than 35 m). Typical reasons:
- The tour was ended right away.
- It started inside a building.
- The location permission is missing or “precise location” is off, see Allow location access.
“Simulated location detected”
Your phone reported that the location was faked by an app, for example via Android’s developer options. Such tours don’t count. Turn off the simulation and start a new tour.
Still unclear?
Write to us with the date and approximate time of the tour. We’ll take a look.
