Start and finish your first tour
Choose how you move, set off, finish the tour: this is how you record a tour.
The app is in German for now, so button names are quoted in German with the English meaning in brackets.
Start a tour
- Open the map (“Karte”).
- At the bottom, choose how you are getting around: hiking (“Wandern”), running (“Laufen”), cycling (“Fahrrad”) or e-scooter.
- Tap “… starten” (start), for example “Wanderung starten”.
- Wait outside for a few seconds until the GPS signal is good, then set off.
On the way
The app doesn’t have to stay open. You can lock the screen and put your phone away. Without a network connection, CLAYM stores the tour on your phone and uploads it as soon as you are back online.
Finish the tour
Press and hold the button at the bottom. This stops you from ending the tour by accident in your pocket.
Our server then evaluates the tour. Shortly afterwards you’ll see your route, the newly explored streets and your points under “Touren” (tours).
